Cranbourne Park is proud to present Let’s Grow Together: Sustainable Living Festival.

Over 3 days we will provide educational, fun and interactive events for people of all ages with a focus on sustainability so that together as one community we can ensure a better future for all.

 

City of Casey Plant Giveaway

Help create a greener city and claim two free plants for your garden!*

Cranbourne Park has partnered with the City of Casey Annual Plant Giveaway. Simply present identification that proves you are a resident of the City of Casey and receive 2 free native plants and help make our future greener.

Time: 9am – 5pm on Thursday & Friday

Kids Educational Activities

Wildlife Exposure

Students will examine a diverse cross selection of animals from the two major phylum’s of vertebrates and invertebrates. Presented with species found across varied Australian ecosystems such as deserts, forests, grasslands, wetlands, rivers and oceans.

Waste Warrior Wind Farm

Sustainability comes in many forms. In this fun and creative exercise youngsters become familiar with renewable energy created by wind farms.

Date: Friday 18 May

Time: 11am – 2pm

 

Sow & Grow

Kids are fascinated by how things grow! In this workshop youngsters will be given a recycled egg carton, soil and a seed to begin their very own mini garden! They can then add a personal touch to their garden by decorating the plant label that identifies their seedling.

Take the Sustainability Pledge

Take the Cranbourne Park Sustainability Pledge and show your commitment to a more sustainable future by pledging to make positive changes to your daily activities and enter the draw to win a $200 voucher. Plus when you make a pledge you’ll receive a reusable eco bag that has been designed by a local student from Casey Grammar.

Bike n Blend

Promoting healthy living and sustainable energy, you have to opportunity to make your own pedal powered smoothy! Receive a free regular size smoothy from Boost Juice by creating the power to blend the smoothy by pedaling a bike!

Live information sessions

Come along to our free live information sessions and learn how to be more sustainable. We have invited a mix of memorable speakers who all have a passion for the environment and will be able to educate you on energy-saving business initiatives, environmental and sustainability challenges, sustainable products and assist you to make positive changes to help create a greener world.

 

Free Coffee Hit

Free coffee hit when you bring your own reusable cup!* Did you know that over 3 billion takeaway cups and lids are wasted every year, most are never recycled. Over the duration of the Sustainable Living Festival if you bring your own reusable cup in to Theobroma Chocolate Lounge or The Groove Train you will receive a free coffee. Grab your free coffee from 17 - 19 May and make a difference!
