When hunting for bargains your biggest priority should be how the cut fits your body shape. Are shoulders sitting correctly on jackets? Does it fit you like a glove? If you can get this happening you’re half way there! Next look for great colours and interesting textures in fabric like lace and embroidery. Shiny fabrics often look cheap. Accessories are a great investment as they can be worn with multiple outfits and really finish a look.
